Sanded & Sealed this Googie Corner Table

Another table finished - Really wish I had made a 'before' photo as this one had a thick coat which had to be removed. A good sanding and a few coats of tung oil later, it looks great and feels very satin.

Our first go with Tung oil was a very fun & satisfying surprise.  After sanding it down smooth & uniform we poured loads of the stuff onto the table top, rubbing it in with a rag. It was a surprising how much & how fast this stuff seeps into the veneer- It started to look & smell brilliant right away!  We sanded between coats then rubbed beeswax to get that super smooth finish.

Oooooo so nice

Here we are re-covering a nifty set of award winning Ricchio Chair's for Knoll designed by Joseph Ricchio. I was surprised to find the existing the fabric was the original (no staple holes found). We'relooking forward to finding a fabric that will compliment the design far better.

This has nothing to do with this website…except that I’m the one who chooses most of the stuff!
